How I First Fell in Love with Sudoku

It started on a slow Sunday afternoon. I was curled up on my couch, phone in hand, scrolling aimlessly through social media. I wasn’t really looking for anything, but then I noticed a Sudoku app icon I hadn’t touched in months. On a whim, I tapped it open.

The first puzzle was labeled “Easy.” I thought it would be a quick five-minute distraction, but within moments, I was completely absorbed. Each empty cell felt like a small mystery waiting to be solved, and every number I placed correctly brought a tiny thrill. Suddenly, my scattered thoughts quieted down. Sudoku has this unique way of pulling you in completely, making the outside world fade—even if just for a few minutes.
